East China"s Jiangsu province has launched a series of policy packages in a bid to make every effort to stabilize global market share and strengthen local enterprises" confidence in development, according to the "Several Measures to Promote Stable Scale and Optimal Structure of Foreign Trade" issued recently by the provincial government.

The "Several Measures" has introduced 14 measures by focusing on promoting a stable foreign trade scale, promoting transformation, expanding the market, and optimizing the environment.

Jiangsu will make every effort to support enterprises to use exhibitions as the main channel to stabilize orders and expand the market.

Specifically, Jiangsu will coordinate relevant special funds at all levels to support enterprises to participate in overseas key exhibitions, provide subsidies of up to 80% of booth fees for 115 overseas key exhibitions, and encourage local governments to support the transportation of exhibits, personnel and business travel expenses for enterprises that participate in overseas exhibitions.

At the same time, Jiangsu will strengthen the entry and exit services for enterprises to participate and attract investment abroad, as well as for overseas business personnel to come to Jiangsu for procurement and negotiation.

Since the beginning of this year, Jiangsu has recorded rapid growth in exports of electric passenger cars, lithium batteries, and solar cells.

According to the newly introduced measures, Jiangsu will give full play to the advantages of a complete automotive industry chain, cultivate and expand exports in the automotive industry, support new energy vehicle brand enterprises in Changzhou and Nanjing to increase their international market development efforts and form new growth points as soon as possible.

Jiangsu will also support new energy vehicles through the China Europe freight train, promote the improvement of transportation and storage conditions for hazardous chemicals, including lithium batteries, expand logistics channels, and assist enterprises in reducing costs and increasing efficiency.

Jiangsu will also target new forms and models of foreign trade, support various regions to vigorously develop cross-border e-commerce, market procurement trade, offshore trade, and overseas warehouses, and guide the export industry to extend from processing and manufacturing to both ends of the R&D, design, marketing, and other industrial chains.

In the meantime, Jiangsu will increase support in areas such as customs clearance of goods, financial services, and tariff reduction, such as the reduction of import and export costs by fully implementing tariff preferences under the RCEP Free Trade Agreement.

Jiangsu will arrange export credit insurance coverage of $100 billion throughout the year, strengthen international logistics service guarantees, and operate more than 1800 China Europe freight trains throughout the year.
